For some of us wet shaving is also a huge passion and a hobby in which we have invested a lot of money... Some shaving items are objectively expensive. But we love them... And we want to see your most luxurious "shaving gems"!

Razor: Joe Chandler 7/8 Spanish Point Damascus Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Pre Shave: Hot shower with Conditioner in Beard Soap: Martin de Candre ASB: Sabon After Shave: Vintage Habit Rouge Fragrance: Habit Rouge EdP Summary: Today is the first day of my new job. A special occasion calls for a very special blade - and I succeeded in finding that. I wasn't really intending to win this gorgeous custom when I sent the seller an offer. Funny how life works though, isn't it? He accepted and it was soon on its way. When it arrived, I was immediately taken by the attention to detail. The steel is beautifully figured, and the firework on the spine is echoed in the damascus wedge and even the third pin spacer! The blade arrived with two small dings acknowledged in the seller's ad, so she went straight away to the Choseras. The bevel was reset using the 1k with some slurry followed by trips around the 5k and 10k. She then got a light nagura progression on my Oozuku Suita (no su). The result was an edge fit for a king! This razor was so smooth that I almost didn't feel it doing anything as I tackled three days of growth. I was nearly BBS after the first pass, but with a razor this nice, how could I not do more. ATG was effortless and I am proud to say that I think I'll be the best shaved man in the office! It was all tapped off with some of Guerlain's wonderful Habit Rouge! If everyone's week starts off this great, the world will be a phenomenal place!

Alas, I did not see the "Luxury" theme before I shaved. Although, I'm not sure that it would make that big of a difference as I don't really have a "Luxury" den. Nonetheless, here is my humble contribution to this week's theme.
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 25mm Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger (with Bone Handles) Razor: 6/8" Livi, Full Hollow Ground, Round Point (w/ Amboyna Burl scales) Strop: 25/45 (Neil Miller Linen / Ambrose Horsehide leather) Überlather: Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Creme + Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Proraso AS Cologne: Acca Kappa "1869" EdC Results: Great shave with the Livi...Stropping with this beauty can be risky as the etchings on the tang have a tendency to catch the leather and scratch it...Not wishing to bring this onto my Imperial strop, I switched to my Ambrose. The Acca Kappa was a perfect match with the Livi. Lovely shave all the way to the core
