Flexing about what? Living in a remote logging camp? That doesn't seem like the kind of thing that most people would be impressed by.
Frankly, it was a brutal experience with very few comforts, which is why I said that being able to shave at all was a luxury.
If you've ever traveled outside of CONUS (Continental United States), say, to Mexico or Southeast Asia, or the Middle East, you have a more developed sense of the concept of "luxury".

To me luxury is only a Wolfman high polish razor, a custom ebonite 30mm Black Eagle brush, some simple Czech & Speake no 88 soap lathered in a Tiffany's scuttle and matching cologne. More than that and you're just pushing it.
A basic sedan will still get you to work as well as a high end luxury car.
It’s not always about the destination but the ride along the way.
This is partially true. If you have to go to work. I mean, if you are an employee, sure.
