I need to check that thread out. I am not well versed in fragrances, and perhaps I need to refer to this product as 4711 Portugal rather than Portugal water.
I have seen the Acqua Colonia range and 4711 Remix editions, but I have never seen a 4711 Portugal.I need to check that thread out. I am not well versed in fragrances, and perhaps I need to refer to this product as 4711 Portugal rather than Portugal water.
I would generally consider my self fairly well-versed, but I really have no idea. I think there is a lot of inconsistency around the use of the term "eau de Portugal," etc. GF Trumper makes a Portugal, too. It is very nice. Very orange but not as light as the 4711.I am not well versed in fragrances, and perhaps I need to refer to this product as 4711 Portugal rather than Portugal water.

At this point, I am not fond of the regular 4711. Seems generic and weak, but that may be in part because it has been around so long. The Portugal is something different. BTW, I would consider eau de Portugals to be very much in the realm of barbershop scents, so classically masculine.I have around 50 Cologne's and Kolonya's. I am not really a fan of 4711. I may give it another try, at least in the AS formulation.
