l'occitane vs jack black face cream

Has anyone tried these 3 brands and like one over the other? Now that winter is coming I'm looking at these 3 brands for a thicker face cream or balm.

Of these three, I have only used Jack Black balm. It is gel based, not cream/lotion. So for me, I had the sensation of coating my face with KY jelly.

I Would also consider something better if you tried these and prefer another brand of higher quality.

I have tried a TON of face lotions/creams/balms. The best scented ASBs for me are L'Occitane and Crabtree & Evelyn. They can be pricey though. If you want unscented and want to save some money, go with Every Man Jack. I just posted in the other thread that the Cremo face moisturizer may have unseated EMJ as my everyday product, but I haven't tested it in winter yet. To be continued...

I found a way which suits ME with Jack Black Triple Cushion Cream Blah Blah, with the container closed, i drop it with my brush in HOT water filled sink before i get in the shower. By the time i get out i open the container and have this gooey "stuff" i swirl it round a bit, put it in my mug, and enjoy a great lather.

I have tried all 3 and Jack Black wins hands down. L'Occitane makes good stuff and I use their products but prefer JB for a facial moisturizer. Keihl's oil free made my face super shiny by the end of the day. Also check out JB's Protein Booster Skin Serum. I use it after I shave (every other day) and all other days use JB's Double Duty (w/ SPF). Even my wife has converted and now uses Jack Black. Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions or want more details. edit: I'm replying to an almost 2 month old original post. Oh well, maybe someone will find this useful.

No doubt someone will find this useful.

I'm about to receive Nancy Boy Facial Moisturizer to see how that works out. Their Body Moisturizer is pretty nice with facial grade ingredients, but with my skin, I want to see if the step up for specially designed stuff is worth it. Knowing their products, most likely. I haven't tried the JB balm, but the moisturizer/sunscreen is some of the best, in terms of sunscreen. Never tried a Kiehls product, and L'Occitane... hear it's pretty nice, but man, its expensive! Not that any of the others I've mentioned are cheap... :001_rolle

For myself, I only use a balm when I shave with soap. After shaving with soaps, my skin can be a little dry. Creams seem to leave my skin a lot softer and moist. If I use a balm after soap-shaving, it only takes a few minutes for the skin to absorb the balm. When I use a pre-shave oil, or shave with a slick cream, balms just make my skin feel oily and shiny.
I use L'Occitane Baux shave balm. The scent is barely there, but the shea butter product is great.

I'd be interested in your review of the Nancy Boy moisturizer. The other products of their's I have used have been great (shower gel, hand soap, shave cream)
