Most of these are strictly nice-but-user-grade examples, one or two are cased collector grade razors and one or two are rough but usable. There are probably two or three others rolling around in the back of a drawer. And then there are the SEs....

Wow, typing out all the razors I have would be one long list. I snapped some potato pictures the other night when I was rearranging things. IMG-20180605-WA0001.jpg IMG-20180605-WA0003.jpg IMG-20180605-WA0005.jpg

Since my return to wet shaving:
1. Merkur 34c
2. Merkur 34c (bought by American Airlines until luggage arrived)
3. Merkur 38c
4. Gillette 1957 C1 Tech (birth year)
5. Gillette NDC Postwar Fat Handled Gold Tech
6. Gillette 1957 C4 Flare Tip Superspeed (birth quarter)
7. Gillette 1962 H2 Travel Tech + Bakelite Handle
8. Gillette 1962 H2 Slim
9. Gillette 1959 E4 Fatboy
10. Gillette NEW SC, common bar handle
11. Gillette NEW LC, common bar handle
12. Gillette NEW LC, ball end handle
13. Gillette Old Type, ball end handle (nickel replaced)

The Travel Tech is only used when traveling. The Merkurs are rarely used as they served their purpose in getting me started, but I just don’t like them as much. The NEW LC common bar was just returned to its case in a drawer because I only keep the remaining 8 in my regular rotation out and the Old Type has replaced it. I should be done but I’m not sure that is realistic in the long term.

Remember to forget me!
Wilkinson Sword Classic
Bought in early 90's. It was my one and only DE razor, until...

Edwin Jagger DE3D14
I bought this after finally deciding to "upgrade" from the Wilkinson sometime around 2013. In the same order, I also bought...

Parker 22 Interceptor

I wasn't sure whether I'd prefer the three piece or the butterfly opener, and so got both. This meant that I had neither an open comb nor a travel razor, so a couple of months later I got...

Merkur 985
With these four razors, I felt I had every category of DE. No more were needed, and I didn't buy another razor until...

Gillette Super Slim Twist
My first vintage razor, which I got early 2018, was only bought because it was the only birth quarter razor that was made in the same country as me. While it's nice to have a birth quarter razor, it doesn't give me anything I didn't already have in terms of function. I haven't bought another razor since. However, I was gifted a razor by Cal a few months ago...

Gillette Super Click
This was the most challenging razor to learn with out of all the above DEs, due to the flexibility of the handle.

Here's what I currently own:

LA Shaving BBS-1
Wolfman .48 SB
Wolfman .54 SB
Paradigm 17-4
Paradigm Ti2
Charcoal Goods Lvl1 Brass
Timeless .68 SB
Timeless .95 SB
ATT Kronos M, R & H plates
ATT Kronos R2 and H2 plates
Gillette Fatboy
Gillette Flare Tip
Gillette Slim
Gillette New LC

This is Very Interesting seeing everyone's Collection...

Very surprised at the High Amount of Vintage Hardware we have here!

I myself was contemplating a birth year Fat Boy!

Best,

Tony

Since returning to DE shaving I have aquired six razors. In order of purchase:

Van der Hagen TTO
Parker 99R
Parker Variant
Feather AS-D2
Razorock Old Type
Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed (I3)

The Feather gets used for 80-90% of my shaves.

This thread looks like a trap from my wife .

Cheers
John

My thoughts exactly. Everything you say on the internet stays on the internet in one form or another. I don't want to make it easy by consolidating all the information for her in one place :a13:!

I'll say I started with a Merkur 20C and my latest was a Loew travel razor, with a double digit number in between. :001_rolle
