La Toja shave stick!

So I added a La Toja shave stick to my Semogue 830 order and I tried the La Toja for the first time this morning.

It was great!

Some nice lather with very little effort. I am kind of ambivalent about the smell of the lather while I was shaving but the smell that lingers afterwards was definitely nice.

What other shave sticks would you recommend? I have my eye on Speick but what else?

La Toja is about the only non-tallow soap I used. Originally bought as a travel stick because of it's useful container it still sees regular rotation :001_smile

Wilkinson Sword is a lanolin stick and is very nice - very underrated and hard to find
Tabac is....well tabac
Irisch Moos is really nice
Arko again another nice stick
La Toja I found to be very nice
Lea - got one but not tried it yet
Palmolive (tallow) - great stick performance but rubbish as a stick, far better grated into a bowl
QED (Bergamot) - Really distincive smell, fruity for something a little different

These are all the good ones I have tried but am sure there are more, DR Harris does a shave stick which is the same as the bowl soap. Of them all I love the Irisch Moos the most, Tabac with a different smell.

The La Toja stick is great-My wife just came back from a trip to Spain and brought me a bunch of them-Fantastic quality lather with very little effort and I really love the scent-I intended to use them only for travel but am finding I can't resist using them even at home!

Not tried Speick but know of a few who have and it seems well received, the Valobra one seems to be a nice stick (again from what I have read).

If you like la toja, I think you will like valobra, but you need work a bit more the lather. You can choose boots too. Try to get a hidrated lather with la toja stick, because la toja dry quickly.
