Kopi Luwak and Lilac Vegetal

If you've read any of the recent Lilac Vegetal threads, you've probably seen my periodic defenses of it. I love the stuff. I've never had a skunked bottle, never been disappointed with it. Even better, my wife likes it when I wear it. But--even tho I don't get the nasty smell--I have to say that the color of LV only appears in two places. One is inside Gatorade bottles. I think that everybody knows where the other one is.

Which brings me to my point. I was talking with a friend of mine about Kopi Luwak--coffee that undergoes a very special process that is said to occur inside a civet. While we were talking, I suddenly flashed on an image of my bottle of Lilac Vegetal. Could it be...

Now, this is a place for gentlemanly discussion and I don't want to lead anyone astray. My question is this: has anyone ever visited the Pinaud factory? Can you set my mind at ease?

It's a braggy, boutiquey, spendy thing...no one actually LIKES it, but they like to brag about spending $300/lb for coffee to show off and impress their smarmy friends.

LOL...no offence to anyone that actually does liek it though. If you can say with a straight face that you enjoy a coffee that "earthy", and you'd rather have that over say a nice Sulawesi Kalossi or New Guinea, then more power to ya.
