Kent Silvertex Synthetic - Was I the last to know?

You weren't the last to know; I didn't know until I saw this thread. The hair looks a lot like the Muhle synthetic hair.

I looked on the Kent website but didn't see the new synthetic brushes.

Would be interested in hearing your thoughts. Do you have any other synthetic brushes to do a comparison?

The only one I currently have is a Muhle, I've had several before (Omega,TOBS,H.I.S) the Muhle (23mm) is the only one I have liked enough to keep so far.

Well I didn't know, but then again, I wasn't looking.
it certainly looks like the badger Kent brushes.

I have two Muhle 23 mm version 1 synthetics and three H.I.S. synthetics; I like the H.I.S. brushes better. I'll be following this to see how the Kent synthetic compares to the Muhle.

I ordered one off eBay UK. I really like the Kent Handles but their badger knots are a bit too floppy. I hope this one works well.

Hey, no problem bro. I didn't know either, but to tell the truth I'm really happy with my Kent BK4 in silvertip, and have no desire for synthetic at all. Nice that it works so well for you though.

Kent has incredible detail, they obviously dont carry that into this brush. If you hit the zoom feature on the OP link have a look

never seen a kent brush with faded text on it like this, Im thinking it will with time come right off. Small stuff like that urkes me, But still at the price point i wonder what kind of brush it is

Yeah I'm hoping the crappy printing on the stock photo is not the norm, but I'll live either way for $20.

Now half as wise
I find it very interesting/curious/disturbing that I can't find this on the Kent website.

Also only at a very small number of places online, they may be small market testing a new product at the moment, a quick email to CS may put your mind at ease Mark, but that is an oftly cheap brush for their brand

Och, it's probably just a one off. Friday afternoon on the stamping line and some silly fella thinking of the pub. Got one on the way though. :whistling:

Just FYI, I got a response from CS at Kent. This is a new brush from Kent, just not yet on the website.

Please show us some pics and measurements when you get the brushes!

I ordered mine Thursday night. I'm quite looking forward to it.

An absolute bargain price of £10.95 delivered.

I'm curious about the knot size and loft. While I'm not really in the market for a regular brush, I could use a travel brush. (I bought the Tweezerman for travel and it will do--but it is very scratchy.)
