After buying a birth-quarter Slim on eBay that was in nice but not perfect shape, I decided that I wanted it restored to the best condition possible. I read a lot of posts here about various sources for re-plating, and I chose B&B favorite closecut61 of West Coast Razors. I looked at the pictures he's posted, and he's more than just a craftsman - he's a magician.
The work he did recently to restore someone's Gillette President is truly impressive:

Could I have found someone to do the re-plating for less money? Possibly. However, this is one of those times I'm willing to pay for top-quality work from a true artist. I hope my restored Slim will become my primary razor for many years to come. I know it's going to look beautiful, and work perfectly, when I get it back from Dave.
And yes, I'll post pictures.
