DE always leaves my neck in pain. This was awesome. Used co bigelow cream with it and walgreens gem blades.

Oh I do get bbs with de, just painfully.

Congrats. I am lucky that DE shaving has posed no problems for my skin and it is great that you found a good razor which works for you.

The problem is I have several DEs and only 2 (well, 3 counting today's acquisition) Gems.
I've got to try some Gillette Sharpedge blades.
My best DE shave so far has been Derby.

Wal-Mart Personna's suck for me, as do "real" red packs.
Dorco ST-300s are okay, but seem to lose it on the 3rd shave.

I went by my local Indian Grocery today with a list for pricing and my phone number:

10-20 packs of Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharpedge blades
1 bottle Old Spice Original Scent (Glass Bottle Preferred)
1 tube Old Spice Shave Cream Original Scent

I can't wait for her to call back... she'll probably try to rip me off though... oh well, I can always say "I can get it cheaper on ebay".

Congrats! Gems are absolutely fantastic shavers IMO. You don't have to give up on DE though, Slant razors are very nice and can also help perfect technique! As always YYMW!
