What's new

Just bought an 830

I've always loved the looks of the Semogue 830, so I decided to throw one in to my last Bullgoose order. I know, like any other boar, there's a break-in period, so I'm expecting that. Most of the commentary on this brush seems to center around the fact that it's a good face-latherer for soaps. I don't hear much about how it does with creams (I'm primarily a bowl-latherer with creams). Anyone use their 830's with creams mostly? How do they perform for you?

its great with both creams and soaps, due to its medium sized loft I think its best with creams.

a great brush, you will love it, of all my semogues this one was soft right out the box.

Yes, it did seem pretty soft right out of the box for a boar. It'll be wonderful once it's broken-in completely!

The Semogue Boar brushes have to be the best brushes anywhere close to that price range. I face lather with the 620(slightly smaller than the 830) and it was pretty soft from day one and only gets better with time!

The 830 will lather up anything you throw at it and in any way you feel like lathering up.

I bowl lather 98% of the time and none of my Semogues performs poorly at that - nor do they face lathering :biggrin1:
You've got a great brush in the 830 - Enjoy
