Jermyn street collection aftershave cream

It's funny you should ask. I'm having the same problem here in the U.S., even shopping online. It's hard enough just finding Jermyn St. shaving cream without the added difficulty (impossibility?) of finding the AS to go with it. I'm wondering if it's a product that's only marketed in the UK, since the link you provided is the only place I've seen the stuff thus far.

Sometimes it takes a little while for vendors to get newer products from the UK or other places abroad. It may show up eventually.

.................com is a great site for Taylor products, above all the shipping costs are amazing!

Another alternative would be to order it directly from Taylor:

http://www.tayloroldbondst.co.uk/acatalog/Taylor_s_On_line_AFTER_SHAVE___COLOGNE_5.html

but the shipping costs aren't favorable.

Cheers

edit: why I cannot write the word .................com without space characters? If I write it in one word, it gets changed automatically! The URL doesn't work either!

That place is filtered out here at B&B. I don't know the specifics (nor do I want to, honestly), but it is in some way disavowed. I doubt you did it on purpose, but typing it out like that is probably some kind of violation of the user agreement for circumventing the text filter, so I suspect someone will be by soon to delete the text.

To ressurect an old post (it seems the questions here weren;t answered) I too am interested in the After Shave cream.

Does anybody have it or tried it? How does it compare to the shaving cream in terms of scent and sensitivity, concistency, greasiness etc?

Thanks

Gary

I use the Jermyn Street shaving cream at the moment and I'm very content with it. But what about the Jermyn Street AS cream? Does anybody use it? How is the scent and quality? I could only order it online, but the shipping costs to Switzerland are 15£, that's why I don't wanna risk a bad buy. I would be grateful for a review.

Cheers

I've currently got both the Jermyn St shaving cream and the AS cream. I got the AS cream because I loved the scent of the shaving cream so much.

The scent of both is exactly the same: fresh but manly (my wife loves it!).

The AS balm is very soothing, and is like a light moisturiser. It's not greasy at all and disappears pretty quickly from your skin but the scent hangs around for a while which is great. The only downside is that I wished TOBS made it in a bigger container - 75mls isn't going to last long enough!

If you love the shaving cream, I'd say get the AS, you won't be disappointed!

If you're having trouble finding places to buy it, try www.shaving.ie - I've bought stuff from them and had excellent service (it's an Irish web site).
Good luck!

I just bought this ASB or ASG on Amazon (through marketplace). Shipping was cheap and fast, price was good. This is a great product. TOBS has never let me down.

For those who are interested, TOBS has now officially put the new Jermyn St aftershave lotion on its web site in 100ml and 30ml bottles.

I'm not advertising TOBS in any way - just love the Jermyn St products myself.

I wonder how does this differ from Aftershave Cream?

Hmmm decisions...

Update...

I've now received my brand new bottle of Jermyn St aftershave (lotion).

As it is my first aftershave that is not a balm, I was expecting it to have a consistency like water. I was wrong ... First of all, the bottle comes with a (handy, in my view) spray cap, so you don't have to pour it out of the bottle. Some may love this, others may hate it, but I think it's great. Just a few sprays on the neck and face, then I rub it in.

Anyway, back to consistency ... The lotion has a slightly thick consistency (probably due to the hydrogenated castor oil in it) which you don't really notice until you start to rub it into your skin. Compared to the Dickinson's witch hazel I use (which is like water) it's quite thick. This may also put some people off, but it's kind of reassuring and it feels like it's really moisturising my skin. It has a very slightly tacky feel on your skin, but this absorbs very quickly. It does not contain alcohol, but after I use it my skin almost feels like it has that alcohol-warmth to it.

And to top it all off, it smells fantastic!

I love this stuff!
