What's new

I've Decided I'm Awesome

So I was sitting here all alone on the stroke of midnight, far away from friends and family and no one special to kiss in the New Year with. Feeling a bit low but not that bad too be honest ( tasty Indian food and The Big Bang Theory helped:thumbup:)

So it's 2011 and I decide to pop on here for a little pick-me-up and see what's what, when I start to read some threads and notice a theme of "the girlfriend/SWMBO who just doesn't understand". Suddenly it occurs to me that I'm gonna make an awesome girlfriend! I'll probably have a bigger den than any guy I know or will meet and I can use a straight ambidextrously!

Now I just need a few things in 2011:
1. A boyfriend who isn't intimidated by how into shaving I am. ( would you be put off if you met a girl like me? :bored: )
2. To stop falling for guys with beards!

So yup - AWESOME :thumbup1:

Confirmed: you are awesome. The good thing is it's really easy to tell when a guy has a beard.

Barber-Eile, #2 narrows the search down to hundreds of millions of possibilities. #1 well that will really narrow it down considerably.
Would a #0 be that he needs to be in Ireland to narrow it down even further?

I like guys without beards- in fact I'm not keen on beards it just seems to have happened that way the last few times.
And my last few boyfriends, though in Ireland, were not Irish.

BigFoot

I wanna be sedated!
Heck I would take you, free use of straights. Oh damn I have a beard. Oh and I am married. That probably rules me out.

Awesome post, by an awesome person.

When I told a couple of the barbers in work experience that I use a straight they laughed at me because they didn't believe me. When I told them that shaving was a hobby of mine and I was serious I got a few very strange looks.
I kinda worry I'll freak guys out.
But meh, love me- love my razors

Barbers that laughed at a student barber that uses a straight very strange. Maybe they don't know how to shave themselves with one.

Well, your use and discussion of straights will winnow out those that don't make the grade!

True, only three of the barbers in the shop give the hot towel shaves and they are all female ( one of them makes me cringe just too watch though but the other two are great).
It was the two guys who laughed at me.

I'd consider your interest in shaving awesome... unless you are shaving your face, then I'd lose interest lol!

And a good beard is quite irresistible haha, I need more girls like you over here! Same situation, but at least I'm with my family.
