What's new

It took 2 1/2 years

It took me 2 1/2 years to find the perfect combination. I've found that Noxzema (as a preshave) + Col Conk almond soap + Gem 1912 (with a plastic handle) + Clubman aftershave = the perfect shave. I can now die a happy man. My only problem is what will I do with all my other razors and soaps and creams? :001_rolle

That's what the BST and the PIF pages are all about.

You may also find that if you try something different say in 6 months or so, you may find you've discovered another combination for a perfect shave. Though I must admit that it's hard to beat a GEM 1912.

Glad you found your perfect combo. Don't get rid of your other stuff just yet though. You might want to put it into a rotation for your shaves. :thumbup1:

See, this excited me...I'm a newbie who has no idea what he's doing yet....but I have started an AD vintage collection that contains a GEM 1912 (as well as a micromatic) and everybody who mentions the 1912 has GREAT things to say about it. Can't wait til' i'm good enough to give it a run with confidence!

when you make out your will leave your shaving paraphernalia to your good cousin mike72 :lol:

I like my Shark blades but man I just can't get away from my 1912 or injector. I really love a shave from a SE blade.
