I've found what it seems to be one of the best shaving soaps in Europe. The name of this product is Martin de Candre

Any idea about it? Quality, latherability and all of that? Any thoughts would help!

It seems to get a lot of praise, and I'm still experimenting with the soap myself, but right now, I don't think it's worth the money.

At that price it had better be the soap of the gods. There are a number of very good soaps that can be had for US$6. I strongly doubt this is five times better.

There are many that are better and better value for money eg Tabac, MWF, Cella, La Toja, Trumpers. I could go on....

I began to order the soap a few months ago until I reached the postage stage and very quickly retreated. It is regarded as a superb soap but I can't and won't justify the overall cost. There are other products I would prefer to relinquish my money for.

Yes, it is the best soap ever, IMHO. Even though it is more expensive than most other soaps, it will outlast most of them too. So for the price per actual shave, it is likely on par with many other soaps. But I admit the up front price (shipping, aaakk!) is very off-putting.

Best soap ever....tough to say, but it is definitely in my top 3 with MWF and AOS/Valobra.
