What's new

Is the SR3824 still the same today as it was when it won joel's brush wars?

I bet Charles hasn't changed a thing, since it was "perfect" to begin with.:001_smile With all the brooha over other brushes, it's a good time to check back in with an old fave.

I seriously doubt it. You really ought to call or email Charles. I'm sure he would be more than willing to field your question and would really be the only person to actually know the answer.

Are you thinking of getting one? The are really fantastic brushes. The loft is a bit taller than I like, but the 3824 is a mean lathering machine with both soaps and creams.

I think it's a damn fine brush, also.

I just got my 3824 from a member here on BST and it is an INCREDIBLE brush! Monster lather machine with any soap or cream I have tried (Tabac, L'Occitane Cade, Col Conk Lime, Proraso, etc). Super soft...great face lathering brush.

The only thing to change, as far as I know, was the marking from "Super" to "Finest Silvertip."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the silvertip brushes a seperate line from the Select line?

I bought one from Charles about three months ago. Overall it is still my favourite brush and from looking at the review it has not changed but I am sure Charles would help you there.

His Savile Row brushes are all silvertips...the QED Selects come in pure, best and silvertip.
