Iridium strikes back

Just had a great shave, DFS in 2, with an Iridium...VERY nice blade - in my Mulcuto slant . What a difference a razor can make. In the Enigma they are simply not good, nor in the Upsal. In the Rotbart Sportman they were nothing special. The Mulcuto makes me see why so many here are happy with their Iridiums

They are vintage German razors, with closed combs. Rotbart is owned by Gillette; a Rotbart Sportman is equal to a Gillette alu handled Tech.

I tried an Iridium for the first time yesterday, along with an Astra. I have been using Derby blades right along. On the first pass I instantly knew that the Iridium is a better blade than the Derby. There was no pulling and the razor cut more hair than with the Derby. The Astra was also better than the Derby, but the Iridium outperformed both.

I have yellow Gillettes here too, that I have yet to try. Those will be next. So far the Iridium is the best blade I've tried.

I have found the Iridium to be at least as sharp as the yellow Gillette and a bit smoother.
