Tried my first Schick Intector (type m hydro magic) and I love the design. Very good shave for first try. Can Schicks be restored or replated. Don't know how with they could with the plastic handle.

How about a photo? I'd agree the Plastic Handle would make it difficult to re-plate easily, though not impossible or inexpensively. A quick e-mail to one of the reputable Razor Restorers should give you a definitive answer. The Hydro is a nice Razor, my preference is the "J" due to the longer handle, a good one for Head Shaving, I love the "E" for its Beautiful Carmel Handle & Performance.
I agree, they are outstanding shavers. I'm a little confused when you say you have an M type Hdyro-magic. The M's are the adjustable models, the Hydro-magic feature was on the earlier I and J types.

You are exactly correct. It is the I after looking at the shavewiki. Thanks. It is also in great condition. I wanted to find E or G to replate...just for the fun of it.
I'm a big injector fan. I'm always impressed with the engineering of these razors and their cartridges.
I like everything about injectors, from the shave itself to the click of the blade passing from the dispenser into the razor head. I even like it that the really good blades are hard to find; it makes it all the much better when you score them. Weird it is, but this is wetshavingworld, 21st century edition.
Dumb question: Are injector blades still made, or do you have to go vintage?

Yes, I bought 4 Schick Injector cartridges (with 7 blades in each) from Amazon. I am guessing these are the Chinese ones that are still being made.
Personna still makes good ole made in the USA blades as well.
Personna/ASR quit supplying injector blades to retailers a couple years ago, they're only available online through medical supply sites like Ted Pella and EMSdiasum. I think razorbladesandmore also stock them.
The Schicks can still be found in some independent and mom and pop type grocery and drug stores as well as online.

For those in the military or vets who have access to a base the Personnas can be found at the BX as well. DE and Injector.

I've never used an injector. One was sent to me as an "extra surprise" when I bought something off of BST but I don't have any blades for it and don't even know what it takes.

Looks like a type e or g. Should use the modern Schick injector aka "chick" blades. Can order at Amazon.
