Injector Razor in a 1947 movie.

Were SE razors more popular than DE ones right after WWII? I was watching a 1947 movie "Dark passage" starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall and noticed that Bogart was shaving with an injector razor. Here is a screenshot.

Is that an injector or an SE?

Edit: Guess so.
I was thinking that Schick introduced the injector in the 60s, but they simply took over Eversharp (or Eversharp became Schick) and the injector has been around since the end of WWII

Actually, the first Schick razor was introduced in 1926, the models that began using the separate dispenser came out in 1935. Eversharp purchased the rights to the Schick name in 1946, although they left the Schick name on most of the razors for name recognition.

That's what I like about this forum. It doesn't take long to get to the facts of any razor topic. Amazing wealth of knowledge here.

Although the picture is not in color so that you can see the hue of the handle, and it's not clear enough to see if there is a seam in the handle, and being as it's a 1947 release...I think it might be a G1 model.

But I could be wrong, as long as it takes to film and release a movie. But they probably moved quicker on filming at that time.

It may be an E model from the prop department, which upon retrospect I think it may be.

But then again, it may be a G1 that was picked up for the prop department for some new props.

Gee...I didn't know I owned some movie stars.
