Injector blade brand, style, supplier, cost

I have a Shick Eversharp Injector razor. I have never had any blades to try it, and until recently I have been satisfied using my other razors. However I keep seeing reports of how great the shave with these razors are. I have to try it.

When I looked for blades I see Personna mini hair shaper blades without the injector tab. There are Personna blades with the injector tab. There are CVS blades and even Shick Injector blades that, if I understand correctly are made in China.

It appears I need some assistance here.

Does the injector tab matter?

Which blades can I use?

Which blades are recommended?

Where is the best place for the blades at a reasonable price?

Yes, the tab (key) matters--you can't insert a blade into the razor without it.

You can use the Chinese Schicks (which are quite good and long-lasting) or you can use the Ted Pella or EMS blades. I use the Schicks because the injector packages for the others are virtually worthless.

Any of the blades are good, but, as mentioned, the injectors on the Pella and EMS blades are not useful for loading the blade. Besides, I just finished my 15th shave with my current Schick blade, and it shows no sign of giving up.

I get mine from Amazon but they are also available on eBay, along with NOS blades from Schick, Personna, and Gillette. I don't know if any of the B&B vendors carry injector blades.

Welcome to Injector World! So aside from the chicks and Pellas there are vintage blades also. So that can expand your shaving experience also, but the Chicks and Pellas are fine. I average about 10 shaves but I can get more, depends on the blade I'm using. Enjoy!

B&B membership has its percs
I think that they are presently being made only by Schick (Chicks) and Personna (the other brands, including their own & Pella, CVS I haven't seen in a while). The vintage are better but supplies aren't even what they were a couple years ago ..
