At a local Asian grocer, I discovered a stainless steel rice bowl with a lid for $4.99 (+tax). I thought it'll make a nice soap dish.

If you live in a bigger city with more ethnic diversity, I noticed that Japanese or Korean stores have soup or rice bowls with lids. They're normally made with ceramic or wood, and sometimes you can find stainless steel bowls. At Chinese stores, they have tea cup sets that has lids. And they come in all sizes. I just thought this bowl would make a nice soap dish for MWF or Tabac. You can't argue on the price!

This stainless steel bowl I use for cat kibble works great and it has a rubber bottom so it will not slip off a counter top.

Home stores are good for cheap stuff that can be made into shaving stuff. In the UK there's a shop called Robert Dyas and I got a few goodies from there at a cheap price. I'm thinking of getting a plastic box for £2 that I can fill with used razors before chucking them as we don't have a bank for them and right now they're just lying in the bin. Dunno how safe that is as DEs are sharper than cartridges.
