Impossible to find a stainless steel shaving bowl that fits big shaving soaps?

I have difficulties to find a stainless steel shaving bowl or a metal chrome bowl for big shaving soaps like the Dr Harris, Crabtree & Evelyn orTaylor of Old Bond Street. :001_huh: (99-100 g shaving soaps)

Do you have any tip for me? :thumbup1:

Check IKEA, I used a stainless steel soup/cereal bowl for a year before I received a handmade shaving bowl.

Thanks for the answer Tom!

No shaving brand that sell special bigger metal shaving bowl?

I checked out IKEA, that ok. But :001_smile I m keen on a real shaving bowl, picky as I am....

Don't know the exact size of bowl you are looking for, but you might check cookware sites for small stainless mixing bowls or petware sites for stainless bowls for pets. I have several stainless seed bowls from my parrots.

I guess a nice design and a nice logo. The diameter must be around 8 cm to fit the big shaving soaps on the market.

Here is a pic of the bowl from IKEA which is hard to see with all the lather. $Shave Cream 174.jpg

I understand you might not see it as a real shaving bowl, but It actually looks like it belongs in a shaving den.

Are you looking for a soap storage bowl or a lathering bowl? Two totally different animals.

Does it have to be SS? A French onion soup bowl is nice. These can be picked up at thrift stores all day for under $1.00. Also mine came with a lid.:thumbup1:

Some creme products such as Nivea come in tins of different sizes. One of these sizes will probably fit such a puck however I know nothing about the durability of the tin, it might very well rust.
