What's new

I'm speechless.

Ive been wet shaving for about a month now with a Parker 92R. The shaves were okay, close but not super close. The Parker was just not cutting it for me. So today in the mail arrives my goodie bag. I bought a EJ DE89 kit from Bullgose (Thanks Phil!) and a Murker 34C along with some MWF and TOBS Eaton College, Proraso green and white, and some Lucky Tiger After. Now my intention is to give the starter kit to my father for his birthday (although I might have to keep that DE89...) and keep the rest for myself.

So today I used the DE89 and a Derby blade with Proraso green as a pre-shave and the TOBS followed by the Lucky Tiger. I thought I was hooked to this whole wet shaving thing before hand and now its on a whole different level. Suffice to say gentlemen that I'm speechless about the shave that I just had. So close, so smooth.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone here for posting on this wonderful website and getting a noob like me on the road to wet shaving.

Cheers!

Great to hear success stories like yours.

I supposes that is what keeps so many of us around when someone finally has that "Ah ha moment".

Isn't it amazing how we hear these kinds of success stories time and time again yet some folks still look at this like we're not right in the head.

It just amazes me how this is so much better with minimal effort and training yet so hard for some people to "get"

I've often said if I woke up tomorrow and every bit of wetshaving hardware and software was buried under a mountain I'd be a miner by breakfast.

No one here ever claimed to be right in the head Ace..

Op. Isn't it amazing how small changes make such a big difference.

Haha no, its to wake myself up in the morning although I bet it gives one hell of a burn when used as an aftershave!

The bad thing about finding the perfect combo was that after I found it I didn't want to make any changes. I get a BBS shave almost everytime with my current set up and I don't want to try anything else anymore. I even went as far as to PIF all my blades and I'm thinking of PIFing my razors that I don't use anymore.

While I would agree with you dtezla I'm the type of guy that loves to try new things. If I run into something that doesn't work for me, Ill just note it down for future reference. The great thing about wet shaving is that there is so much to try that you could never get bored!
