It's a mint condition Gillette Ball End Tech.

Techs are one of the best razors ever made, and were built to last, and last. I have a well worn one, that still shaves perfectly.

It will serve you, and your offspring for many 100's of years to come!!

For dating, is there a single letter on the under side of the blade tray, on the upper left? (If there is, there will also be a number from 1 to 4 on the upper right). If not, what shape are the slots in the blade tray, a slight triangle, or do they have parallel sides? Oh, and last, does it say Made in USA?

Looks like a B1. Does that sound right? It does say made in USA. Edit: If I found the right wiki, it looks like 1981. I'da thought older.

Ah, but it IS older . They stopped making the Tech in 1973. Go further back in the Wiki, they repeated the numbers. B would be 1956, and the 1 means it was made in the first quarter of the year.

You rock, Sir.. I thought it looked older. It'll be used tonight with some pirates cove sandalwood soap and Ogalalla bay rum and sandalwood AS.. Both of which remind me of my Grandpa, which is why I started this whole mess in the first place!
