What's new

I so sure Crystals were my blade :(

I was so happy that I found a blade that I was going to buy in bulk, Crystals!

The first shave was incredible! Everything you wanted in a DFS, close, and smooth. I figured I'm going to see if it'd outlast Red IP's before I buy Red IP's.

Tonight I shaved for my second time with the Crystal and while it was okay, it just seemed....off. After cleaning up I felt my face and noticed while it was a SAS, it definitely wasn't even a DFS! Hell, it was as far from a BBS as possible. :glare:

I guess, I'll try Lord Platinum, and than see how it compares to the king so far: The Red IP's.

Can not even tell you how many blades that I thought were my favorite until the second shave.:001_smile Finally settled on Feathers.

Feathers I'd say are the best. Since I'm a cheap ***, I still use middle of the road blades.

Well, you can attempt to trade the IPs for other blades. However, don't let one blade that could be a dud throw you off.

I think everyone falls in love with a blade, until they try another one

You really need to try that blade two or three times. It is not worth buying blades of inconsistent quality. I want a blade that is always good, will basically always last the same number of shaves... I don't want to open a new blade and get a BAD shave.

I've had such mixed shaves with the Crystals. The first time I used them I had irritation that lasted two days. The next time I tried one (a month later), they were wonderful--smooth, pretty sharp, left a BBS impression. Then I tried one last week, and had a very irritating, not particularly effective shave with them. Don't know if it's a quality control issue or something else. I've finally given up on them. I've never had such problems with the Israeli Reds.
