Last week I'm wasting time looking at DE razor blades on the auction site.

So I see a lowly 5 pak of some older Schick Plus Platinum blades.

I've never tried any older vintage blades.
I've read the threads about guys saying the older blades were better, they don't make them like they used to, blah blah blah...
And I had money in my Paypal account.
And it was BIN.

I was perfectly happy with the Feather.
I already have metric ton of blades.

Damn if I didn't get one the absolute best shaves of my life.
3 pass BBS with absolutely no irritation.
Sharp as a Feather and much smoother.
Just mowed down my 36 hours growth like it was nothing.

So now what?
I've tried pretty much all the currently available blades and settled on the Feather.
I sure don't want to pay over a buck a blade for DE blades for the rest of my life.
I'm kinda hoping shave #2 will be crappy and I can pretend this vintage "experiment" never happened

I don't wanna hear anything about Personna 74's or Spoilers from you guys either.

Ok, Wilkinson Light Brigades are even better.

I was lucky enough to find an unopened box of NOS Schick Plus Platinums.
They are terrific blades. Have you tried Gillette Platinum Plus blades?
There was a thread comparing the two one here a while back.
