I’ve only ever used Feather blades in my AC razors, Professionals or Supers.
To me, as a long time straight shaver, there is little difference between the two, but I can’t see the point of spending money on the tuned-down blades. In particular the idea of stringing wires in front of a cutting edge sounds strange to me.
The first 3-4 shaves are quite harsh (less so after palm stropping), after that I easily get 15-20 shaves out of them using the same kind of pre-shave routine (sponge, warm water with some soap, 3 minutes) that I use for all of my straight or DE shaves.
If I had to stretch it I could go for a month, but after 20 shaves the blade starts to show increasing resistence to mow the stubble down.
