What's new

I have a problem with the VEG

I can't put enough of it on, seriously, I think I'm addicted to it. I just got done shaving, applied the VEG, walked around and let it dry, then went back in and applied it again. Lol

I know this is a hit or miss with people ( there's no middle ground ) but I really am enamored with this scent. It smells like so many things, all in one. To me, it has this manly flower, woodsy, sweet tobacco pipe smell, just to name a few.

You are clearly deranged and need some professional help... ;)

Funny you say that because I really contemplated whether or not to even start this thread. I fear I may come off as a quack Lol.

Now, off to see if anyone sells this in a 5 gallon bottle..........

I like the Veg too, but I only Smell Floral things Like Lilacs.

I definitely smell the lilac as well. I relate it to the dish one gets, at a restaurant, that incorporates sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami all in the same dish. So many things happening at once it's hard to figure out but I know there's something there. Like eating chocolate and potato chips at the same time LOL.

Where are you finding these?

What era/years were they made? I really like those.

Is that vintage VEG also? That looks a lot more brown than my green VEG new bottle.

the bay...
the first bottle is new VEG, and I made sure to spill it all over on purpose, while filling the bottle.
the second is Clubman
I love both.

I tried the Veg for the first time this morning. I had decanted it into glass bottles a couple of weeks ago (just plain boston rounds, not cool vintage ones like these) to let it sit and lose the plastic bottle smell. I have to say that I am quite pleased with the results. I like old-fashioned scents, and especially ones that evoke the barber shops of my youth. The Veg scores highly in both categories, as well as in staying power. Now I just have to keep my eye out for a bottle worthy of the sacred elixir!

Same for me, I love the vintage scents. I also scored this Old Spice off the bay. I did a blind smell test with my wife and with mom-in-law, both picked the vintage OS as the best, and both said there is a defference in the scent, between old and new.

Chris, the tall bottle is plastic, and it's Bay Rum, by Master Well Comb. I need to find the appropriate glass for it as well...
Next on my list.

You can get a refillable small/travel atomizer that will fit in your pocket. That way you can "refresh" the VEG all day long $stir_pot_veg.gif

Mick:
I like the way you think.

Someone: That's a cool way to carry your breath freshener
Me: It's not breath freshener
Someone: What is it?
me: The VEG
Someone: Huh? What is that?
Me::sneaky2:
