What's new

I did a bad, bad thing...

I accidentally left the lid off of my TOBS almond cream tub Tuesday night. I just found it. And there is a nice layer of dryness on top. Did I just ruin my favorite cream?

Does the stuff under the dry layer lather? (For that matter, does the dry layer lather?) I'd do a test lather--if it lathers, then that's all you need, right? :001_smile

Do not try to squeeze it out, the dry cream might be harder than you think causing the other end of the tube to open. Wet the dry cream first to soften it (as suggested above) and I would use a skewer to poke and grate the hard shaving cream out.

It is unlikely that the whole tube dried as the tiny bit that dried will protect the rest of the tube.

He says it's in a tub. Personally, I might put in a few drops of water and stir up the entire thing. Somebody had a post here recently saying that they let their TOBS dry out for a matter of months and it still worked fine after that. It just happened to work more like a soft soap.

After I posted this yesterday, I did run my damp brush over it. It seemed to lather fine. Hopefully it will go back to it's creamier consistency, but I suppose soapy is ok too! Thanks for the advice!

Lets take a moment of silence for the unfortunate tub of TOBS almond cream. :c17:

Hey Mods, we need a "Prayer Smilie" :001_smile
