How would you describe the scent of Proraso (Green)

My first shaving soap (croap) ever was Proraso. I bought it because it was widely recommended. I used it a few times but left it once I discovered other soaps/scents. I was cleaning out my cabinet and found the abandoned tub of Proraso.

I took a sniff and I couldn't place the scent; to me it smells like chemicals and poor quality soap - like the kind of liquid soap that you'd find in dive-y establishments.

How would you characterize the scent of Proraso in the green tub?

Lemon + a bit of camphor + a good deal of menthol.

Inexpensive but not cheap, and definitely not a poor quality product.

At this price the lemon is rather artificial, don't expect something like CF. However it is not unpleasant, particularly when the weather is hot.

I'm not a fan of Proraso at all, actually it very nearly turned me off DE shaving until I tried some Tabac which promptly brought me in with a vengeance.

I was considering PIF'ing what I had but I didn't think anyone would want something so readily available.

It's a bit old-style and musty, not bad but I prefer the lighter scented white tub.

Just smells like soap to me. It's not a great smell, but not a bad one either. And the performance is great. I took a travel tub on a trip with me this week and it worked even better away from my extra hard water. Plus the baggage inspector saw it and said something like, "Hey, Proraso!"

Bengay, probably. That's what my grandmother's bathroom smelled like way back in the '70s.

Perfect soap to use before Aqua Velva Ice Blue. I love the scent and the sensation. Then again, I like Arko, Tabac, Kouros, and Paco Rabanne too. YMMV, indeed.

Smells like MEH, not great, not horrible. Very middle/bottom of the road for scent. Mentholly/minty. I don't get the lemon scent.
