How often do need to hone?

Let's say you have a quality straight, you strop and clean it with each use. How often would you need to take it to the stone?
I'm thinking about trying one one of the days, for now I'm a happy DE guy.

If you keep it stropped well, you will probably be able to go at least three months. If you use a yellow coticule when it barely starts to pull, then you may able to go 6 months to a year between honing at a lower grit.
This assumes that you have mastered stropping and do not roll the edge by applying too much pressure. It also assumes that you can use a hone wiith some level of skill. If you are careful, then you may never have to use anything other than a strop and a yellow coticule. I personally like to use some Cromium Oxide on another strop to polish the edge after coming off of the coticule. This gives me a bit smoother shave.

What netsurfr said, though I would add that you can can substitute nearly any medium or fine hone for the coticule. You just need something to keep the bevel fairly straight.
