How long does a tub of Nancyboy last?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on some Nancyboy, but first I was wondering how long does the tub last? It seems like it wouldn't last too long, making it not really any more price competitive to creams like Castle Forbes.

not sure how long a full tub lasts of daily use, but I just rec'd one to start using in 2013...it's a big tub (i also ordered the signature balm)

if in doubt, order a travel tub of a couple scents they are very nice sized tubs and last a while in rotation and are priced excellently per/g (it's not really any more $ per gram for the travel vs the full sized)

don't forget to sign up for the NB e-club for a nice discount on all their stuff.

i found i did have to use more then other products to make a good lather, but it was well worth it. smell and performance were both fantastic for me...hence why i ordered a full tub.

It's hard to say exactly based on how many passes you do and how often you shave, etc. I went through a whole tub using it pretty regularly over a 6 month period. It does require more product than other creams, but it provides one of the best lathers imo. I also was using it with a scuttle a lot, which requires even more product. You can't go wrong with it though....

I haven't been using it long enough to know how many months my tub is going to last, but I can join the chorus in singing praises for Nancy Boy. It's a fantastic cream from a fantastic company. I get a great shave, and it leaves my skin in excellent condition. I can also recommend their Replenishing After-Shave Gel, which is the best for my face of anything I've used.

I load my brushes pretty liberally, and a 2oz travel tub lasts me about 7 days. The regular tub is 6 oz, so it would last me about 21 shaves. You could probably stretch that to 5-6 weeks if you were thrifty with it.

I thought I was using a lot of product, but it sounds like you use it even more generously than I do. I started with the 2 oz sample and I've had at least 10 shaves with it so far and still have quite a bit left. I'd guess I can go 3 weeks or more on the 2 oz, so the 6 oz tub that just arrived should last me around 3 months.

My 6oz tub of Blossomwood Shave Cream is still cranking after 3 months as well. Although I do rotate with other soaps and creams, I expect it to last just as long as any other cream. It's a really great product and I get a kick out of showing my buddys the label.

I had someone give me a 1/2 oz sample of NB Replenishing and I got 5 great shaves out of it and I was not lacking for lather.

wow, this sounds like a very expensive cream to use then. Perhaps Castle Forbes would actually be the more economical choice?

Perhaps, but economics are not the only factor for me in choosing a cream. The ingredients in Nancy Boy leave my skin feeling more healthy than just about any cream I've used. That's extremely important to me, since many of the English creams like T&H leave my skin feeling dry and tight. I also really like supporting a small American company like Nancy Boy, where I've received a personal thank-you email from one of the company founders after placing an order. In addition, they are very generous with freebies and have always sent something extra with my orders.

Don't forget the permanent 15% discount for joining their email club. That means a 6 oz tub costs $15.30, which is less than half the price of Castle Forbes. All factors considered, I feel like Nancy Boy is a pretty good deal for me.

agreed on all account. i ordered a tub of sig cream, bottle of ASB and was told to add a bar of soap for free (they prompted me to add it if i wanted)...very nice, a full sized bar worth about $8 for free.

join the NB club for free discounts and heads up on promo's. no spam, 1 email a month, no more, no less.

enabler

I suppose I can order 1 tub to see whats all the fuss about

Guilty as charged!

I'd suggest ordering the 2 oz sample of one or more of the creams to see how you like them. You'll still get the 15% discount if you join their club. When I ordered my sample of the replenishing shave cream, they also sent me a free travel-sized bottle of the aftershave gel. It was a great deal.

I will add my statement that I drop in every NB thread...order their laundry detergent! I really like their cream and ASB, but the laundry detergent may be their best product. It will change the way you look at laundry detergent!

Wow, never thought to look at their laundry detergent. I can add that their mild face wash is one of the best I've ever used. Their facial moisturizers are great, too. In general, I'm very impressed with the quality of all the Nancy Boy products I've tried so far.

I do have to use a little more than most other creams but not much. I have the 3 types of travel pot and would guess that I'll get 20+ shaves out of each.

I can also recommend their Replenishing After-Shave Gel, which is the best for my face of anything I've used.

How have you found the consistency of the Replenishing Gel? It's really tacky on my skin whereas the Cooling I think is great.

I only found the gel to be tacky when I used a bit too much. I cut back on the amount I was using, and found it absorbed perfectly. However, I think balms and moisturizers can react very differently from one skin type to another, so that one may not be right for you. Try using less of it and see if it feels any better.
