Yellow brass used by Gillette and others is extremely resistant to corrosion. Lose the plating on an Old Type and polish the brass underneath, it will not corrode. That's why we like and collect them. That's why Karve makes a razor of unplated brass. Oxidation which goes occur with brass has no effect on the integrity of the metal.
