Holy Fat Boy!

so i just got a fatboy in today from a lot i won on ebay:

decided to try out the fatboy as i have heard so much about it. threw in a new Shark chrome blade and made up some suds with my Proraso and cranked the FB to '5' what proceeded was hands down the closest, most irritation free shave i have had yet. unbelievable, i was able to do three passes on my neck with zero irritation, and it was my first BBS on my neck! maybe it was that perfect combination for me of razor, blade and soap, i dont know, all i know is that it was absolutely incredible, the hype on this razor was indeed warranted.

i have been shaving with my Merkur Progress...after today that thing might be going on ebay. i am pretty sure i just found my #1 razor.

They really are nice razors. I think I prefer the slim to the fatboy ever so slightly, but both are fine razors. For me, the longer handle and the thinner profile head on the slim give it the slight edge. But the FatBoy is without a doubt a fine razor.

I've had some great shaves with my FB as well. It's fun messing around with the settings. Be sure to turn the knob an extra 1/4 turn to fully lock it down. I just got a Slim recently and am looking forward to comparing the two.
