I'm interested in the history of these blades too, so I hope someone who knows more chimes in.
FYI, I believe it's against forum rules to post links to live eBay auctions. Not 100% sure and I don't have the gumption to read the rules right now, but I think so.

"buy it now" auction formats are all that is allowed. Live auction with a biding system is not.
As far as the blades go I thought I heard a while back that they are no longer being produced??

It would make sense if they are no longer produced. I used my first one a week or two ago and absolutely LOVED it. I tend to be the kiss of death for products. If I like them, they get discontinued. I hope Cella is safe.
These are on the shortlist for my first 100 blade purchase. Maybe I should just pull the trigger so I at least get some.
I used mine for 5 shaves and I think I could have used it for at least 2 more.
I got my first SBs well over a year ago and back then they were very hard to find. There was precious little talk about them on this forum since so few people had them. Somehow they've appeared in great quantities, or at least at a large number of sites, over the past few months. The first time I spotted an ad for 100 or them, and I think that was over a year ago now, I snapped them up. They remain at or near the top of my list of favorite blades.
Iridium Supers were only available on BST or the bay a couple years ago but now new Polsilver SI's, which are supposed to be the same blade, are easily obtainable. That seems similar to the re-appearance of SBs. Seems to me like they might make a large run of some "brand" out of the St. Pete plant and when they hear that inventories are low or exhausted then make another run. At least it looks that way to me.

I know nothing of the history of this great blade, but I have been using them almost exclusively for the past 3 to 4 months (with a Polsilver SI or two mixed in from time to time). I consistantly get 7 smooth shaves from one blade.
