Gents,
I have this Hibbard Spencer and Co from about 1870. It is my favorite razor (for both the history and the shave). A few years ago I broke one of the original scales (bone? horn?) and its been sitting since.
I've tried making scales before and while they were serviceable I'd like to do this razor right by history. I'm looking for referrals for an artisan who can give it a second life; maybe even reusing the original (pewter?) wedge. PM me please and if you're interested or recommend someone so we can start a conversation.
