If Gillette is helping to pay for B&B, I'm not going to complain.

And I am going to buy one of the new ones, anyway. For one, I can tell people that I tried it and it isn't as good as DE. Second, most of these are loss leaders or sold at a thin margin. They expect all the profit to come from cartridges that I won't be buying.

I don't think it is so bad. I think it's a misguided move on Gillette's part.

No one here is going to be affected in any of the ways that advertisers strive for.

It won't convince people to try the product

It won't assure previous purchasers that they made the right choice.

It won't convince any people here that the product is superior to what they are currently using.

It's all in all, a waste of advertising money for Gillette, and a well funded windfall for Badger and Blade.

You might want to avoid every other forum site out there. The ad targeting isn't that sophisticated and you're going to get a lot of situations similar to this.
