Help Identifying Dads razors.

Hi Lads,
1st time posting anything on this forum. My dad gave me a couple of razors today and was wanting some info on them if you wouldn’t mind. I have no idea about this stuff, so I have come to the experts lol. The black one has Ernst Hemmel Solingen on it and what looks like a eagle on the back?

Welcome to the forum. I know very little on Straight Razors but your two look very nice. Hopefully some of our esteemed members will be able to give you some more information on the razors that you have..

The filarmonica is Spanish and is a very good razor. The Hemmel is from germany and likely a very good razor as well.

Ask me about shaving naked!
Yep, the Filarmonica is a nice one, probably from the late 50s - 60s. Can’t tell much about the other from the image. The ‘13’ on the Filarmonica stood for 13/16, the width of the blade.

If you’re ever inclined to use them, send them out for honing, don’t try it on a razor with sentimental value, send it out for honing.
