I had given up on Harry's because they would skip (leave a patch unshaved or undershaved) for me. I blamed it on the plastic hinge thing. My son tried mine and he liked it so I have it to him.
Recent Harry's advertising said that they had redesigned the hinge and made other improvement including texturing the handle so it didn't slip as easy. So I tried them again. I picked one up from Target since they carry them now, and shaved with it this morning.
I grabbed a 20mm Silvertip brush and my vintage Old Spice soap had a very nice close but comfortable shave. I'm going to add this to my rotation.
If anyone else has had problems with the shave quality with Harry's in the past you may want to try it again.
