Great shaving cream combo !

At times,when I'm bored with using just one cream,I get the urge to experiment and combine two,thereby getting the benefits of both in one lather. Well,yesterday,I hit upon the best combination yet. I know that its entirely subjective and this combination will only appeal to those who love the citrus(grapefruit) scent. I mixed together my new TOBS Grapefruit with a bit of Unscented XPEC. Wow ! I ended up with a marvelously thick and protective lather scented with that superb,genuine grapefuit fragrance of the TOBS. The XPEC really boosted the overall quality of the cream. IMO,the TOBS line of creams,while quite good,are a notch below,in overall quality,to that of Castle Forbes,XPEC and some of the Trumpers(Coconut and Ultimate Comfort).
Give this combo a try if you happen to have both XPEC and TOBS Grapefruit .

I've never tried Xpec; it's pretty pricey. But, I agree about some of the other creams being protective. I love Trumper's Coconut particularly. It's one of the few creams that work for me with a really aggressive razor. TOBS Avocado works well for me, too, though I dislike the scent. Castle Forbes Lime is also a favorite. I used to mix in some glycerine and a bit of Kiss My Face or Bigelow with other soaps or creams. But lately, I just want to grab one soap or cream that does the job. Glad you found a great combo!

I use Kiss My Face and glycerin to mix with various soaps. I try not to mix anything with ADP, XXX or AOS cream, though.
