Great sample haul!

Gents! I recently ordered the fabulous Geo F. Trumpers sample package. It made it's way across the pond in just over a week, and came loaded in a beautiful linen bag.
I also made a point to email Col. Conk, and ask for a sample to see what all the buzz on their products was about. Surprisingly, they sent me a great sample pack as well! Four sample soaps, and the matching AS/Colognes, along with their current catalog. Great customer satisfaction. Here's the pics of what I got:

Nice haul. I too bought the Trumper sample pack, but forgot to ask for purely shaving stuff, so got a few body wash things.

However, Col Conk obviously doesn't like Brits....when i asked them about samples, they just sent me their catalogue

Oh well, enjoy trying them.

If you send a follow up email, i understand they will then change the sample to what you want.. Eg, no body washes, and a sample of all the creams / skin foods etc instead. Otherwise you get a little bit of everything.

Awww... they're charging now? Doesn't surprise me, when I got a sample from them a few years ago it came with a bottle of skin food large enough to last me at least a month. All of it gratis. I would like to try Col. Conk but if they snub the Brits then I doubt they'll go for Hong Kong. I've got a friend hitting the States in a month. I might order some stuff and have them bring it back.

I've started with the Col. Conk samples first, as my SO fell in love immediately with the lime. I've given it two shaves so far, and the lather is head and shoulders above what I was getting from both Williams and Van der Hagen. The soap is going to outlast the AS though I'm sure. I should get a full week of shaves from each sample, so I should be able to properly evaluate it. So far, I am very impressed. I saw someone posted about Trumpers charging...it isn't a bad cost, and the amount of items you get is well worth the price. It's 5 pounds for Brits, and 4.25 pounds for us here in the States. Of course after the conversion, it's just over 6 dollars right now, but I received it in a week! So no complaints here on that. Col. Conk's samples were my favorite price though, free!

I don't know if anyone is interested in this but I also got free samples from Kiss My Face. I just wrote to them through their website. Someone did get back to me and said they would send me a few samples. I originally just wanted a small sample of their lime shaving soap.

I got my Trumper's samples from Barclay Crocker. It's a little more expensive but it includes samples of all of their creams, skinfood and colognes.
