Gold Aristocrat value?

I spotted what I think is an old Aristocrat. Gold, spiral pattern on the handle, not adjustable, gold blade box all in a case with a blue velvet interior. Gold writing on the interior lid with Gillette logo. Case and razor appear to be in at least good condition, possibly better. They have it priced at $48.

What do you think?

This seems to be to going rate right now for a brit in good shape. Obviously the mint ones can go much higher.

Sounds like it is a razor with the "Barber Pole" handle. That still could mean an aweful lot of different gillettes. Given the prices these days the $48 is probably a good deal depending on the condition of the razor.

Does this razor have a flat safety bar or teeth (open comb)?

Try surfing around the forums to see if you can spot the same razor. Folks will have a better time providing guidance on the worth.
