Going to clean Lady Gillette with this

I get this stuff at the fair where they do demos on how well it works. It works great on grease without having to scrub. I think it should work okay compared to some of the methods I read that members are using to restore their razors.

After that I plan on boiling it and soaking in alcohol. Sounds okay?

The link promoting all the amazing things that Pink Solution will do sounds remarkably like stuff one would typically find at a fair. Right next to the hair replacement / wart removal / vitamin drink.

Don't boil your razor. Just because it's an antique razor doesn't mean you need to use antique cleaning methods. Just use the scrubbing bubbles and rinse, then if you still feel the need, use some alcohol or barbicide.

Plus one on not boiling the razor. With a lady Gillette, you risk changing the color of the handle. Scrubbing bubbles will kill most, if not all of the Germs that may still be around on a non-porous surface. That and a 10 minute barbicide soak should take care of you.

You mean soapy water? Or that stuff that cleans tiles. I can't use most household cleaners, they make my asthma worse.

I love the stuff at the fair except the food! I have the Sham Wow!:tongue_sm

Prickly, please don't boil that razor. The Lady Gillette's are so beautiful, it would be a shame if the anodized aluminum was discolored in any way.

+2 Never boil a razor. The Lady has a very delicate anodized finish that can be bleached out if you use anything harsh, scrub too much or boil.

On the caps and head I would use concentrated dish soap and hot water. Scrub the head with a soft tooth brush and then rinse with hot water. Use a Q-Tip to dry out the hard to get places. You can finish by swirling in alcohol and let it air dry. The soap I use is Dawn Plus which is also Antibacterial.

AOS (Art of Shaving) makes very good shaving cream and soap which is non-scented.

Okay, I won't boil it but will spritz with alcohol, I have rum and JD, just kidding, will use rubbing alcohol.

I only have Dr. Bronner' soap and Ecover dish soap.

You should see the part in the Pink Solution demo where he eats some of the stuff cos its non toxic and safe. I wonder how he feels after 12 hours of eating it? Once is maybe okay. Apparently it tastes bland. Really, its great stuff for cleaning grease and its gentle on the surfaces. You can use it straight or diluted. I dont use anything else to clean with and it saves space.

Okay everyone thanks for all the help! In two weeks I will have a serious problem with buying too many products!
