Gillette Super Silver

These blades come in simple packaging but are quite expensive, as most of Gillette's stuff. I've acquired them a week before and have shaved with them three times. What can I say, I really like them because they have a tendency to shave in. With each shave they're getting better as of yet.

I've been wondering for a long time what the relationship between these German Gillettes (which I never used) and the Gillette Platinum "Swedes" is. Both have "platinum hardened edges".

There is also a Gillette Super Silver blade in orange packaging, available in The Netherlands, which does not say "platinum hardened edges" anywhere. These orange "Super Silvers" are not very good.

I've been asked this question by PM before. Where are they produced? The Gillette Platinums seem to be much more common.

The packaging is very similar to the Gillette Bleue extra... St Petersburg also...

The printing on the Bleu blade is a bit different, but it would not surprise me at all if it were the same blade, just labeled differently for the German market.

I took a few pictures of the Gillette Bleue extra and the printing is indeed different...

What I have on the back of the packet as I do not find my pictures to be ultra-clear

Bleue Extra could very likely be a French 'translation' for Super Silver. And therefore be the same blades just with different packaging (Switzerland as a distribution country for the French speaking countries).
