Gillette Star? X-2 Razor

To start with it has been much too long since I have been on here... life got in the way, but hopefully I will be back with more frequency. Now to the point... I was given this razor a few weeks back and am wondering what it is.

It is in a star case, which may be a fluke... could have just been put in the case, but the case seems to be made for it.

It has Gillette written on the top and a date code of X-2. I am having trouble finding anything more about it. Is this some kind of combination?

Star is part of ASR. They made single and double edge razors. The razor in that case is a gillette tech, so it's just a mismatch.
