Found a old type open comb along with a nice brush at a antique store yesterday. Cleaned up nice. Tried it this morning with a Astra SP blade. The razor is a ivory soap model from the 20's . Wow! Out of all my Gillettes this razor gave the best shave. Go figure. The oldest is the best. Oh! Only $13 with the brush . Was in the last showcase I looked at and only spotted it because I use a flashlight. Hidden in the case bottom.

Nice! I used my 1918 military thin cap Old Type this morning. I forgot how much blade feel it has! Very efficient!

Found this the other day for $3. I guess the head is thin type? Came with a base plate is for a German optimo along with a old travel case .No handle. That base is loose on the thin head. Head fits the ivory snow bottom though .

Great find! I have never seen one with "Buy ivory soap" on the bottom. Great price, enjoy! The old types shave great for sure but they can bite if I get careless.
