gillette cool wave splash

saw this splash at my local supermarket and decided to buy one. I gotta say, this splash smells very good. Not the most moisturizing aftershave splash as it's just water and alcohol, but it still seems like a very good smelling splash. Anyone use this in the past? what are your thoughts on it?

Not made for these times.
I enjoyed it for a while then it fell out of favor with me.

I tried it again a few months back and it was quite nice. I'll keep it around.

I picked up a bottle from Walmart earlier this year. It’s ok. Not the best, not the worst. As far as cheap aftershaves that you can get at the grocery store or pharmacy, it beats Clubman and U.S. Old Spice. Nivea Deep beats all of them though in my opinion.

I still have my 90's bottle I splash on occasion in the warm months, I use the gillete gel more often which has a similar scent along with Afta fresh.

I used it for many years. I liked it well enough, but it would leave a "sticky" feeling on my skin so typically I had to wash my face with cold water a couple hours later to get rid of it. It's the same problem I had with several far more expensive aftershaves.

I then tried Aqua Velva while on a business trip, and it didn't have the same "sticky" effect. While its scent is not the same, it does seem somewhat similar to me, or at least in the same general pattern, so that's what I switched to. This was all before I started wet shaving.

That's strange. I have never noticed it being sticky and I use it quite frequently..

Everyone's faces, skin, and tolerance are different.

I've had it much worse with more expensive aftershaves that my wife would talk me into buying, so Gillette was an improvement at the time. I suspect it may be related to the amount of glycerin. Curious whether someone has the info to compare the amount of glycerin in Aqua Velva vs some other aftershaves. It's the only one that leaves absolutely no AS feel on my skin a few minutes after use, like splashing it with cold water.

Hopefully someone will chime in about the glycerin content.. Yes I agree about everyone being different...

I get that sticky feeling from Proraso Green.
