Gillette 7 O'clock Green

In my quest to find the right blade for me so far I've tried Kai, Shark Super Stainless, and Crystal (blue Israeli?), and they have all seemed dull to me. The result has been a lot of neck irritation, and feeling bummed.

This morning I tried Gillette 7 O'clock in the green package, and what a huge difference. A nice smooth shave, while not BBS, but DFS. No neck irritation!! It is amazing what a difference a blade makes.

I still have about 18 other types to try, but I am happy I found one that works this well. The sampler I bought had 20 different blade types in it. Overkill? Maybe, but I might have a few for a PIF when all is said and done.

Thanks to B&B for all the helpful people here, and the great advice they give.

Yes, these blade are good, although I find these blades not as smooth as some. Regardless, they are quite sharp and effective in a shave.

This is my top blade so far. Also like Astras. Have some Iridiums and Bleue Extras on deck that I will be exploring soon.

EDIT: Mine are Indian Green's - I believe there is also a Green variety made in Russia?

Yes there is a Green variety made in Russia. I've tried both, and for me the Russian ones work better. They are a nice blade.

Is there a way to tell which ones I have? If I order more, I want to order the right ones.

Edit: Never mind, I found it.

These are available everywhere in the Middle East for pennies; I think I used to buy packs of 5 for less than $0.30. Very sharp but longer-lasting and less prone to nick me than a Feather, never mind the price differential.

I can't wait to get hold of some more and try them out in my Feather All Stainless; I feel they might be the one blade that comes close to their own in the compatibility stakes

Smoothness may be the issue rather than sharpness, I found the kai's really sharp myself, The greens are good ones though.

You're right, I should have phrased it better. The Gillette's are by far the smoothest I've used so far.
