Getting My Straight Clean.

I have a double arow that I want to shine up a bit, so I cleaned it with some Kaboom that I had in my dorm. I think it made it worse. I've used toothpaste, Scrubbing Bubbles, soap and water, a multitude of brushes. Any other ideas on how to clean it? Anyone else messed up a razor while cleaning it?

Turtle wax rubbing compound will work faster than Maas or Flitz. Slightly lower grit. You can try that and then follow up with the Maas.

Usually razors that have mat or dull finish will be difficult to really shine up if that's what your trying to do. They use high speed polishing wheels to really shine them. The various products like metal polish and rubbing compounds will help a little. Even if you had a dremmel and used polishing rouge you will be limited. Probably fine sand papers will be your best bet like the ones you find in auto supply stores. 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit.
