Fragrance Components of Gillette Cool Wave Deodorant?

Perhaps a strange question, but my wife loves the scent of my Gillette Cool Wave deodorant. Having worn it for more years than I care to count, my nose has basically "dialed out" the scent. As I look at shave-related products, I'd like to consider ones that are along the same lines.

I haven't found anything talking about the deodorant, per se, but one poster at http://www.basenotes.net/ID26120682.html suggests

The smell is so mossy. As well as the others reviewers underlined this is a cool and dry woody-herbal fragrance with a mossy-patchouli base. Hints of dry-astringent fruits, tobacco, aromatic greens, vetiver and resins are mixed in the blend. The smell is decent but its texture is more proper of a deodorant than a real fragrance.

Does anyone with a better nose than mine have any more than that description to help me wade through some of the scent descriptions of small-batch shaving products out there?

Does the deodorant smell different than the aftershave? there are a few threads on basenotes discussing the aftershave. I haven't smelled it myself, but i noticed one person compare it to safari which used to come in a whole line of shaving products.
